As an executive coach, consultant and trainer for the last 20 years, I’m passionate about developing leaders so that their confidence, impact and natural talents grow and flourish. This means that I am fascinated with helping teams and individuals find their voice; develop their presence; have impact in the Boardroom and lead and motivate their teams with passion and insight.
Three vital chapters in my life inform my approach. Firstly on the stage, (failed opera singer but would-be Julie Andrews!), then Sales Director in London and Sydney and latterly as a business psychologist. As one of only a handful of people in Europe with an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology, I specialise in applying it to the business world, with specific interests in strengths based coaching and organisational resilience. To this end, I’m Honorary Lecturer at the University of East London in the Application of Positive Psychology to Coaching and Organisations and keynote speaker across Europe.
In the last decade I have worked with leaders from diverse organisations across Europe including Ingeus; RAC; McCurrach; Sony; OUP; Argos; UNICEF; ICO and Siemens. I am a member of the Association for Coaching, a lead trainer with the global Penn Resilience Programme team, certified as an NLP Master Practitioner and licensed to administrate the VIA-PRO Strengths Survey; the MSCEIT (the Emotional Intelligence Ability Test) and the Strengths Deployment Inventory. I am also the co-author of the UK’s first resilience curriculum, SPARK, and well-being curriculum, published in the UK, France and Holland as ‘Personal Well-Being Lessons for Secondary Schools’.
As my two daughters are about to conclude their University years, so too am I studying for a PhD at University of Liverpool in Leadership, with a focus on female executives at midlife. For fun, I sing, jive dance (badly) and tackle ridiculous sporting challenges with my erstwhile team, the ‘Grey Ladies’!
